Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals are some of the oldest and best-known teaching hospitals with a history that stretches back through the plague, the Wars of the Roses, and the Blitz, to name a few!

They are experts in cancer, obstetrics and gynaecology, cardiology, and also conduct pioneering research into haemophilia (a disorder which impairs the body’s ability to form blood clots), as well as robotic surgery.

Premier were approached by the hospital’s fundraising team and asked to help in their fundraising and awareness-raising efforts for Guy’s Cancer Centre Appeal. The Cancer Centre is a new specialised building that will transform how patients are treated at the hospital and will be one of the largest centres of its kind in Europe.

The charity is organising a week of engaging activities at the Guy’s Hospital which will include fresh-fruit giveaways and plenty of colourful activities, including encouraging hospital staff to dress up in the colours of the Cancer Centre. Given that this is right up our street (both geographically as well as service-wise…) we were more than happy to offer the donation of produce.

The week-long event will commence on 23rd March 2015 at Guy’s Hospital in Central London, and will help raise awareness of the appeal as well as involve patients, visiting families and friends, staff and students in various fundraising activities.
