We held our 5th Annual Toby Allnutt Memorial Golf Day 2019 sponsored by Premier Fruits at Gatton Manor on Saturday 13th July 2019. I wanted to write to you to say thank you very much indeed to everyone at Premier Fruits for sponsoring our Golf Day this year, I can’t thank you enough for supporting us and allowing us to make the Golf Day the best one we have hosted so far. The feedback we have received has been incredible and without your extremely  generous support none of it would have been possible. On the day we displayed your company logo on all of our promotional materials including the official presentation. We also had tee markers made up with your logo that was on two of the holes this really took our day to the next level and made it look very professional. We also advertised your company on the back of each score card by displaying your logo and also on our social media channels as well as the pop up banner that we had made with the Premier Fruits logo on.

After a couple of very late drop outs we hosted 82 Golfers on the day and we were lucky enough to have a shotgun start so we had the whole course to ourselves for 5 hours. With a huge thanks to Premier Fruits, we also had a live scoring app this year which ensured the day was extra competitive as people constantly looked at the ever changing leader-board – this app made the day so thank you, thank you and thank you! The winner of The Toby Allnutt Memorial Golf Day 2019 was Ian King with last years’ winner Harrison Derry finishing right back in 59th place – looks like we had a bandit on our hands last year.  After the Golf we all headed back to the club house for our lunch and a few beers and then we held a presentation and Raffle.

Thank you once again for your support we really couldn’t have done it without your generosity which has helped us not only put on a fun day but more importantly raise awareness and funds for CALM whilst letting men know that it is ok to talk, it is ok to feel down and that there are people and charities out there who can help. Charities like CALM who exist to prevent male suicide in the UK, awareness is just as important as the funds raised so getting the message out there is extremely important. Unfortunately, 84 men in the UK take their own life each week which is 12 a day and suicide remains the single biggest killer of men aged 18-45 in the UK. If you are a man in the UK the thing most likely to kill you, is you – those stats are eye opening and CALM do such a great job to help prevent suicide of men and we will continue to help them in the hope that one day there are zero suicides in the UK.

We host the Golf Days in memory of my brother, Toby, who sadly took his own life in 2014 and statistics like the one above were unbeknown to me until then. We now hope that thanks to these events and the other challenges we have held, we are all doing our bit to let, in particular men, know that it is ok to talk. We have managed to raise £2,300 from this years’ Golf Day which we are extremely pleased with. Our friends, family and supporters have been absolutely brilliant by helping to raise funds by doing various challenges and events such as; Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, competing in Ironman’s, running 10k’s and marathons, Golf Days, Cake sales and Gala’s. This now brings our money raised for Charity from all of our supporters since December 2014 to a huge £41,514.02.

I have attached some pictures of the day for you (I have higher resolution pictures if you wanted copies of these). It would be a pleasure to welcome you to our day next year to play in the Golf Day.

All the best.
